John Cena def. The Miz (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Nearly a year removed from their epic clash at WrestleMania XXVII, John Cena battled The Miz on WWE Raw Supershow. Before the contest was underway, The Miz needed to get something off his chest. The Miz claimed that no one has worked harder than he has, but yet he is upset because he does not have a match at WrestleMania. The Miz was fully prepared to prove he was ready for WrestleMania by defeating the same Superstar he defeated at The Show of Shows last year.
When The Awesome One was done talking, the opening bell rang and the two Superstars immediately collided. Both Cena and The Miz has something at stake in this contest. Somewhere, The Rock was watching John Cena's every move, no doubt studying Cena's style and strategy. For The Miz, this was a great opportunity for him to prove he is ready to main event another WrestleMania. Momentum swings were fairly even in the contest, but Cena's offensive continually proved to be much more effective. Following an Attitude Adjustment, Cena locked Miz in the STF for the victory.
As Cena celebrated his victory, The Rock appeared on the TitanTron and simply waved his hand across his face, mocking his WrestleMania opponent.
The Rock addressed the WWE Universe (PHOTOS)
The Great One returned to WWE Raw SuperShow to remind the WWE Universe that without them, The Rock would never exist. The Brahama Bull then turned his attention to his WrestleMania XXVIII opponent John Cena. The Rock had many choice words for John Cena and whenever he hurled an insult at his WrestleMania opponent, the Portland crowd would chant in unison. The Great One explained to John Cena that he was fighting for the people and that he lived to entertain the people. As The People's Champion continued, John Cena made his way to the ring to counter The Rock's insults and fire back his own. When Cena left, The Rock said it didn't matter what Cena said, at WrestleMania, both Superstars would put everything on the line.

John Cena gears up for Sunday’s Daytona 500

John Cena joins a prestigious group of athletes, celebrities, military officials, business leaders and even a U.S. President as the Honorary Starter of the 54th annual Daytona 500 this Sunday! The Superstar will help kick off the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series racing season at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona, Fla.

As the Honorary Starter, Cena will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with NASCAR drivers throughout the weekend, and even attend the drivers’ pre-race meeting. On Sunday morning, the Cenation leader will make an appearance on the Sprint FANZONE Main Stage, where he’ll be introduced to the approximately 182,000 race fans at “The World Center of Racing.”

Then, Cena will climb the flagstand at the start/finish line at the storied 2.5 mile-long tri-oval track, where he’ll officially begin the race by dropping the green flag. It’s an important role, as not only will he be signaling the 43 drivers that the race has begun, but the world will be watching the 10-time WWE Champion as he officially commences “The Great American Race.” (Close to 16 million viewers tuned in to the 2011 Daytona 500!) Leading the pack of drivers will be Cena's longtime friend, Carl Edwards, on the pole position in his No. 99 Roush Fenway Racing Ford.

Past Daytona 500 Honorary Starters include President George H.W. Bush, Whoopi Goldberg, Ashton Kutcher, Mariah Carey, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, NFL Hall of Fame quarterbacks Dan Marino and Terry Bradshaw, and NACSAR legend and seven-time Daytona 500 winner Richard Petty.

NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Edwards raced into Raw SuperShow in his No. 99 Fastenal Ford earlier this month to invite Cena to be the Honorary Starter. The Superstar gladly accepted the honor from the former Raw guest star. (WATCH)

“I’ve got to check my calendar,” Cena joked. “I’ll definitely be there! You have a deal, man. That is awesome!”

The Daytona 500 is the most prestigious and important race in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season, and is known as “The Super Bowl of Stock Car Racing.” According to daytonainternationalspeedway.com, the 500-mile, 200-lap race has the biggest total payout in prize money for any U.S. motorsports event. In 2007, more than $18 million in prize money was given out, with past winners that include the late Dale Earnhardt Sr., Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon and Richard Petty.

2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series runner-up Edwards, whom Cena first befriended in 2007 when the driver mentored him on the reality series, Fast Cars and Superstars: The Gillette Young Guns Celebrity Race, has never won the Daytona 500. Will Cena be the good luck charm his friend needs this Sunday as he starts on the pole?

Watch Cena start the 54th annual Daytona 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race Sunday, Feb. 26, at 1 p.m. ET, live on FOX. Stay tuned to WWE.com for complete coverage of Cena at the Daytona 500 and follow Cena on Twitter @JohnCena.

A tearful Eve begged for John Cena’s forgiveness (WATCH EXCLUSIVE | WATCH |PHOTOS)
After saying her words were taken out of context, Eve tried her best to explain her actions to John Cena. But as she kept backpedaling, Cena pummeled her with his stinging words. Calling her disingenuous and more harsh names, Cena said she and The Rock are perfect for each other. As the WWE Universe got behind Cena’s taunting, Eve fell to her knees and cried. Then as she did her best to plant another kiss on Cena, he avoided her clutches, threw one more insult at her and rushed out of the ring, leaving her in tears.
Eve admitted to using Zack Ryder and said she’d do the same to John Cena
At the start of Raw SuperShow, Eve stunned the entire WWE Universe by calling Zack Ryder an idiot and admitting to The Bella Twins that she used him. And in another shocking confession, Eve said she plans to use John Cena just like she did Ryder by getting the jump on apologizing to him first. But, just as she was about to enact her plan, Cena appeared directly behind her.
John Cena vowed to beat The Rock at WrestleMania (WATCH)
With Rock coming to Raw SuperShow next week (WATCH), John Cena had harsh words for The Rock, saying he’s no longer The People’s Champion, but he’s a champion with people, referring to the entourage around him. After strongly criticizing Rock for returning, but not sticking around WWE, Cena vowed to beat The Rock in his hometown of Miami on April 1.

John Cena def. Kane (Ambulance Match)

MILWAUKEE – Kane walked into Milwaukee's Bradley Center under his own power, but he left in an ambulance. After spending months rejecting The Big Red Monster’s campaign of hate – an ominous overture that ensnared John Cena allies Zack Ryder and Eve – the leader of the Cenation tapped into his dark side and brutalized The Devil’s Favorite Demon, besting him in a barbaric Ambulance Match Main Event. (MATCH PHOTOS)
Chairs, ring steps, a table and a wheelchair were all weaponized during the wild fray, which traversed through the arena. In the end, it was a devastating Attitude Adjustment off the top of the ambulance onto a platform many feet below that immobilized Kane long enough for Cena to capture the victory.
Pinfalls and submissions, as well as count-outs and disqualifications, were all out the window Sunday night – the first time in nearly a decade that theWWE Universe bore witness to an Ambulance Match. According to the hellacious affair’s stipulations, the only way to attain victory is by incapacitating the opponent long enough to throw him into the back of an awaiting ambulance and shut the door.
Despite Cena’s vows to “rise above,” Kane’s quest to get Cena to embrace the hate proved effective – albeit to The Big Red Monster’s misfortune – as the Cenation leader unleashed a rarely seen mean streak in defeating the hatemonger.
The bout began at a furious pace, with the two heavyweights immediately taking to the floor and slamming one another into ring barriers. After using his gloved hand to smother Cena, Kane retrieved a wheelchair from beneath the ring and tried to bring Cena’s limp body back to the ambulance. However, the Cenation leader regained his senses midway down the aisle and mustered a comeback.
The two Superstars fought their way through the WWE Universe before returning to ringside, where Cena appeared to find delight in punishing Kane with the steel ring steps. As he attempted to give Kane an Attitude Adjustment off the ring steps through the announce table, The Big Red Monster countered, and thunderously chokeslammed Cena through the table instead.
With Cena seemingly down for the count, Kane placed the righteous Cenation leader onto a gurney and loaded him into the ambulance. Before Kane could shut the door, though, Cena courageously fought his way out of the ambulance and took the fight to the top of the vehicle, where he finally finished off The Big Red Monster with the biggest Attitude Adjustment of all time.
The victory caps off an emotional week for the Cenation leader. After saving Eve from Kane on the Feb. 13, edition of Raw SuperShow, Cena locked lips with Eve, breaking the heart of the wheelchair-bound Ryder and prompting outrage from much of the WWE Universe.  With Kane seemingly behind him, Cena now sets his sights on The Rock, his WrestleMania XXVIII opponent.
With the Cenation leader having finally made good on his promise to overcome Kane, what’s next for The Big Red Monster? After a lengthy disappearance from WWE last year, Kane “resurrected” in December to unearth his campaign of hate. Each time he’s been dealt a significant setback in his WWE career, Kane has managed to re-emerge stronger than before. Is it possible that Cena’s victory will only serve to further enrage the prophet of hate, and if so, what does that mean for other WWE Superstars in the coming months?

WWE Elimination Chamber 2012 preview

John Cena vs. Kane (Ambulance match)
One thing is certain at WWE Elimination Chamber on Feb. 19 – someone will be leaving in an ambulance by the end of the night. On the Feb. 6 Raw SuperShow, Interim Raw GM John Laurinaitis announced a rematch between John Cena and Kane. In a move he said the WWE Board of Directors liked, the Interim Raw GM said the rivals will clash in an Ambulance Match.
The rules of an Ambulance Match may be simple, but getting to the final bell will be anything but as there are no pinfalls, submissions, count-outs or disqualifications. To win, a competitor needs to incapacitate his opponent, throw him into the back of a waiting ambulance and shut the door, sending him directly to the nearest medical facility.
Brutal and barbaric, an Ambulance Match at Elimination Chamber may be the only appropriate setting as one of the most intense rivalries the WWE Universe has ever seen reaches its apex.
While some conflicts explode after just one inciting incident, others build slowly and steadily over time. When it comes to Cena and The Big Red Monster Kane, their rivalry has intensified each week for the past few months, with each act of aggression topping its predecessor. In his continued efforts to get Cena to finally embrace the hate, Kane has used those closest to Cena to get his message across.
Kane’s relentless assault on Cena’s friend, Zack Ryder, began on the Jan. 3 episode of Raw SuperShow, when The Devil’s Favorite Demon tried to drag Ryder into the abyss underneath the ring. Luckily, Cena was there to save the day, but that did nothing to quell the monster’s fury.
The next week, Kane chokeslammed Ryder off the loading docks outside the arena, seriously injuring him (WATCH). Then, on the Jan. 23 Raw SuperShow, Kane intensified his attacks, chokeslamming Ryder through the stage and sending the Superstar to a nearby medical facility (WATCH). A visibly furious Cena uncharacteristically snapped, refusing Josh Matthews’ interview request by knocking the microphone out of the announcer’s hand.
The following Sunday at the 25th anniversary of the Royal Rumble, Cena and Kane battled to a double count-out. But it was naïve to think that a ring bell would be enough to stop these two from tearing each other apart. The war raged on outside the ring and all over the arena, with Kane getting the upper hand on Cena, courtesy of a steel chair. (PHOTOS)
Kane’s constant torment has taken Cena to unchartered territory, revealing a vicious and previously unseen side of the Leader of Cenation, as witnessed on the Jan. 30 episode of Raw. After Eve’s loss to Divas Champion Beth Phoenix, Kane appeared at ringside, terrifying the helpless Diva. An incensed Cena again came to the rescue, continually battering Kane with the steel ring stairs and sending The Devil’s Favorite Demon scurrying through the WWE Universe. (WATCH)
Now, the two powerhouse Superstars prepare to meet at Elimination Chamber, in what will be their most vicious bout yet. A rare stipulation throughout history, the WWE Universe hasn’t witnessed an Ambulance Match since Survivor Series 2003 which, perhaps unsurprisingly, featured Kane. Despite a heroic effort on the part of Shane McMahon during that match, The Big Red Monster’s brutal assault proved too great and it was Kane who slammed shut the ambulance doors on his opponent.
Does the same fate await John Cena on Feb. 19 at Elimination Chamber? Find out live on pay-per-view starting at 8 ET / 5 PT.

WrestleMania press conference electrifies at MetLife Stadium

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – In a historic press conference brimming with the excitement that only The Show of Shows can inspire, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, a slew of WWE Superstars and other important dignitaries came together to officially announce the site of WrestleMania XXIX – MetLife Stadium, Sunday, April 7, 2013. And in the midst of the celebration, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson made a startling announcement.
(PHOTOS FROM THE PRESS CONFERENCE: GALLERY 1 | GALLERY 2 )
“This is a great day for New Jersey," said Governor Christie. “Though WrestleMania has come to the state twice before, the world class venue that is MetLife Stadium will make it more different than ever before.”
“WrestleMania XXIX will be an extraordinary event, unlike anything you have ever seen,” explained WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, expounding on the vast history of The Showcase of the Immortals that began right across the river at The World's Most Famous Arena, Madison Square Garden. “Quite simply, on April 7, 2013, WrestleMania comes home.”
Never one to be outdone, The Rock emerged to celebrate the monumental occasion like only he could, ultimately using the podium to make an extraordinary announcement of his own.
"My goal right now is to make WrestleMania XXVIII the greatest WrestleMania of all time," The Great One stated before breaking the news: "I will also come to WrestleMania XXIX, and I will electrify MetLife Stadium like never before." (WATCH)
Always eager to step up and support WWE in every way possible, The Rock's opponent, John Cena, also shared his thoughts on WrestleMania coming back to the great New York-New Jersey area.
"I can't think of a better way to follow up what we are billing as 'the biggest extravaganza in sports or entertainment history' on April 1 in Miami, than to come to MetLife Stadium," said the Cenation leader. “I’m glad you don’t have a roof on this building, because we sure would blow it off.”
Asked in a post-press conference interview about the possibility of inclement weather during that time of year in a northeast city, the 12-time World Champion indicated that, personally, he's hoping it snows. "That way, WrestleMania can have a Lambeau Field experience," Cena said with a smile.
The King of Kings, Triple H, was also on hand for the press conference. After praising present WWE Superstars for their involvement with the community – Sheamus for WWE's "be a STAR" anti-bullying campaign, Mark Henry for the WrestleMania Reading Challenge program and The Bella Twins for their tireless support of our Armed Forces – The Game presented honorary WWE Championship Titles to New York Jets owner & CEO Woody Johnson and John Mara, President and CEO of the Super Bowl Champion New York Football Giants.
A week-long celebration, WrestleMania has generated more than $200 million in cumulative economic impact for its past four host regions.
“There is nothing quite like WrestleMania,” said George Fertitta, CEO of NYC & Company, the official marketing and tourism organization of New York City. “We are very much looking forward to it.”
In addition to the unparalleled spectacular that is The Grandest Stage of Them All, WrestleMania Week will play host to a number of activities throughout the New York-New Jersey area, including the 2013 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony; WrestleMania Axxess, WWE’s interactive fan festival; Monday Night Raw; the finals of the WrestleMania Reading Challenge; a Make-A-Wish Pizza Party hosted by John Cena and many other events.
The Showcase of the Immortals will be televised in more than 100 countries and 30 languages. In 2011, a sold-out crowd of 71,617 fans from all 50 states and 30 countries converged on the Georgia Dome for WrestleMania XXVII. This year's WrestleMania XXVIII on Sunday, April 1 at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Fla., will feature the highly-anticipated showdown between John Cena and The Rock. Now, with the official announcement of WrestleMania XXIX coming to MetLife Stadium and the New York-New Jersey area, there is no telling what awaits the WWE Universe in the year to come.

Eve kissed John Cena (WATCH)
Kane kidnapped Eve, taunting her and locking her in the back of an ambulance. John Cena ran to help, and she was freed before Kane could drive off with the former Divas Champion. Then Eve passionately kissed a stunned Cena, as a lovelorn Zack Ryder sadly witnessed.

Did John Cena embrace the hate? (PHOTOS | WATCH)
John Cena came before the WWE Unvierse, denying any involvement with Eve, apologizing to his friend, Zack Ryder. After talking to the WWE Universe about his match against The Rock at WrestleMania XXVIII (PREVIEW) and promising to defeat Kane in Sunday's Ambulance Match (PREVIEW), Cena was confronted by Long Island Iced-Z with a slap! When Ryder tried to hit his former friend a second time, Cena blocked him, causing the injured Superstar to fall to the mat. Then Kane appeared before a remorseful and frustrated Cena, congratulating him on embracing the hate by stealing his best friend's love. When Cena turned his back for a moment, Kane pushed a wheelchair-bound Ryder off the stage, leaving him to be stretchered out of the arena!
The extent of Ryder's injuries has yet to be determined, but WWE.com has learned that he was rushed to a San Diego trauma center for observation.
